This area is a proposed plan of what you could do to get to know the city as thoroughly as possible in the days that you have.

Day 1.

Morning:

  • After a good breakfast, the ideal would be an early visit to the Alcazar of Seville, the royal palace. If you can take a guided tour, all the better, so that you can learn more about its history and enjoy its architecture.
  • Afterwards, you could visit the nearby Archives of the Americas, before starting to walk towards the neighbourhood of Santa Cruz. There I recommend that you visit the Hospital de los Venerables and the Velazquez Centre, and after make a stop to have some lunch.  Also you can do a Free Tour of Seville, and in 2 hours and a half you’ll discover the unmissable parts of the city and the neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, to optimise your time in great measure.

Lunch:

If you’re in the neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, you could sit down in the Santa Maria la Blanca Square or have some tapas in Mateos Gago Steet, to try the ‘pringa’ of Las Columnas bodega.

Afternoon:

  • Once you have regained your strength you could head towards the former Tobacco Factory -now the university- and continue the walk to Maria Luisa Park and Spain Square.  In America Square, you might fancy sitting down and enjoying a coffee or some refreshment.
  • After, it would be interesting to walk the river until you reach the Golden Tower, to then meander around Arenal and lose yourself around the arch of the gate and the Chapter Square.

Dinner:

If you find yourself in this area, there is nothing better than to have dinner in one of the traditional bars like Bodeguita Romero or any on Adriano Street. Afterwards, maybe you would like to have a drink in one of the bars on Paseo Colon, and admire the bridge of Triana at night.

Day 2.

Morning:

  • Today it’s time to visit the Cathedral and if you wanted you could climb the Giralda. Again, it is really worth taking a guided tour if you can.
  • After this you could go on to Triana, crossing its famous bridge, but not before taking photos of Betis Street from the Paseo Marques de Contadero. There you can visit Santa Ana church, the Castle of San Jorge, the Centre of Ceramics and wander through its charming streets. The best thing would be to do a tour of Triana, to get to know it well and enjoy your visit to this neighbourhood all the more.

Lunch:

A good idea would be to eat in the market of Triana, or at least try the traditional beer that they make there. If you’re still hungry, across the bridge you have the Barranco Market, with stands of food from all over Spain which you will love.

Afternoon:

  • Something that you can’t miss is Pilate’s house and early afternoon is the perfect time to visit.
  • Afterwards, it would be great if you headed to Salvador Church, in whose square you can stop and rest while drinking a wine or beer in the Sevillian environment. If you had thought of doing some shopping this is the moment. In the traditional shopping streets like Francos or Cuna you will find shops that you will certainly like.
  • Finally, take advantage of the final hours of light to ascend the Parasol viewpoint and enjoy the views while watching the Sunset over Seville.

Dinner:

  • If you want to, you could try having dinner at a gastrobar like Perro Viejo or Lobo Lopez, which you’ll find a few minutes from the Metrolpol Parasol, to try some Andalusian tapas but with new touches. Or if you want to stay with the traditional food head towards the Alfalfa, where you’ll definitely love the Bar Alfalfa.
  • If you have energy on your last night in Sevilla, I’d recommend not missing out on the Alameda of Hercules, the most atmospheric area of Seville, to enjoy some drinks and finish your trip.
