The second best airport to get to the city is Malaga Airport (AGP), from where you can get to Seville by either train or bus. Finally, if you choose to fly to Madrid (MAD), the best option would be to take the train.

Here is an explanation of all the options and how to get to the city center.

Seville Airport

Will you land at Seville Airport? Perfect, you will be just a few minutes from the city center. You can get there by bus, taxi or car. Visit how to get from Seville Airport to the center.

Malaga Airport

If, on the other hand, you have arrived at Malaga airport, you can get to Seville in a fairly simple way:

From the airport you can take the train to get to Malaga city centre. Don’t worry, the airport station is signposted at the exit and the ticket costs around €2. You’ll have to get off the train at Malaga train station.

Once you get there, you have two options: take a train to Seville with the Renfe company or a bus with the Alsa company, since the bus station is next door. Both trips take the same amount of time, about 3 hours, and with both you’ll get near to the city centre, either at the train station or the bus station, depending on what you choose. Of course, the difference is in the price. The bus is usually the cheaper option than the train, since you can find tickets from €5, while the train tickets can be around €30. In both cases I recommend buying tickets in advance, compare prices and look for some discounts.

Or maybe you have decided to rent a car. In that case, at Malaga airport there are several rental companies.

Madrid Airport

Finally if you’re arriving to Madrid-Barajas airport, you have several options:

The best one is to take the high-speed train, called the AVE, with which you will be at Seville train station in 2 and a half hours. There are trains every hour and the price is around €60. Check the Renfe website to buy your tickets, and sometimes you can find deals.

The second option is to arrive by bus, there are less departures than the train but it’s cheaper. The company is Socibus and prices are usually around €40. However, the great disadvantage is the duration, as the journey lasts about 6 hours.

Getting from Madrid airport to the center is simple. You can take the train that connects the airport’s T4 with the Atocha train station. If you’ve decided to get the bus, the bus station is not very far from the airport.

By train

This is a quite comfortable journey because Seville is connected by high-speed lines with cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Córdoba or Malaga.

In addition, you will only need 15 minutes to get the city center from the Seville Santa Justa train station, called Santa Justa. If your accommodation is far from the station, do not worry. At the exit you will find several buses that will take you to your destination. In this case you can visit moving around the city.

By car

If you decide to take the car to get to Seville, good news: all roads in Spain are quite good and safe. In addition, Seville is one of the principle cities in the country, so it is very well connected and it will be very easy to get here by following these signs.

The motorway network connects the city with different reference points: the A-49 with Huelva and Portugal (to the west), the A-92 with Malaga and Granada (to the east), and the A-4 with Córdoba and Madrid ( to the north).

The Seville metropolitan area is encircled by the S-30 ring road, which makes accessing the centre easier by different points.

However, if your accommodation is in the historic center, you must be careful, because traffic is limited and parking can be difficult. I recommend that you park on the outskirts and move around on public transport, or leave your car in a parking lot. This way you will surely get to your accommodation much more comfortably. Parking prices at parking lots are usually around €2/hour and € 20-25/day.

As you can see, there are several and simple options, so that you can enjoy your journey from the very beginning.
