Seville was called the convent city <\/em>because of the great quantity of convents and religious temples it housed. Although many of these have been lost through revolutions and wars, it\u2019s normal that every stroll you take you find a church on your way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two predominant styles of church in Seville: the gothic-mudejars and the baroques.\u00a0 This last one, the baroque, was and continues to be the most popular with the citizens, for practically all of the churches have a baroque altarpiece or sculptures of Sevillian imagery.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\n\t
